Henry F. Simmons age 75, of Alliance, passed away at 5:22 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
He was born October 4, 1942, in Barnesville, Ohio, to Wiley Oscar and Wilma Mae (Milligan) Simmons and has resided in Alliance since 1954. He was a 1960 graduate of Alliance High School and studied at Ohio Valley College.
Henry was a member of the Hanoverton Church of Christ.
He was employed at Pic Way Shoe Store for 10 years and retired from the Hoover Company after working as a security guard for 22 years. He also owned B&B Bike Shop in Alliance for 32 years which gave him great joy.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Barbara (Miller) Simmons; children, Brenda Ray, Judy (Rob) Devies, Jim Simmons and Robert Pauley Jr.; brother, Roger Simmons; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Joy Pauley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Tri County Church of Christ 18900 State Route 62, Beloit, OH 44609. The service will be officiated by Minister Chris Raynor. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service Saturday.
