Herbert W. Leidecker

Herbert W. Leidecker, age 88, of Alliance, passed away at 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Community Care Center.

Herbert was born March 7, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, to Berthold and Anna (Lipner) Leidecker.

A graduate of Highland Park Junior College, he was the former owner of the Leidecker Agency Inc. in Eastpointe, Michigan.

He was a member of the St. Thomas Lutheran Church in East Point Michigan.

Herbert served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He enjoyed boating, skiing, traveling, fishing, golfing and taking many cruises.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Chris) Brinch of Chesterfield Township, Michigan; brother, Richard (Shirley) Leidecker of Macomb, Michigan; and his beloved companion, Patricia Szekely of Alliance.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn; and a son, Robert Leidecker.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Science Hill Community Church with Pastor Jonathan Truax officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
