Holly Hepburn Dixon, 65, passed away peacefully at Alliance Community Care Center on Tuesday after a long, brave battle with cancer. Holly was born December 27, 1948 in Canton to Dwight and Dorothy (Gibner) Hepburn and had lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a 1966 graduate of Alliance High School. She recently retired as a registered investment associate from Merrill Lynch in Canton and had previously worked at Alliance Manufacturing.
She is survived by her husband Mark Jeffrey "Jeff", whom she married in the Dominican Republic, sister Kathy (John) Hoover, nephew Michael (Shannon) White and niece Nicole (Steve) Kray. She was also the favorite aunt of Jordan and Cayden White and Logan and Carly Kray.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Holly will be greatly missed by all who knew her: her family, the AHS Class of 1966 and especially the Hood Babes, her Merrill Lynch family, and her many friends at Tannenhauf Golf Course where her laughter echoed through the trees.
She loved music, butterflies, dancing, the Soul Blazers, golf, hummingbirds, gardening, football, watching NASCAR and her dog Divot. She called everyone "Honey" and shared smiles and hugs with everyone. Holly was actively involved in organizing the YWCA Carnation Scramble and in planning many class of 1966 reunions. Holly's family is grateful for the care and concern shown by Drs. Arndt, Abbas and Osborne at UPMC, Dr. Cortese and his staff, and the hospice and support staff of the Community Care Center.
A gathering for Holly's friends and family will take place Saturday April 19th from 1:00 until 3:00 pm at First Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 1141 W. Beech Street, Alliance. Come and bring hugs.

A sisters bond will never be broken, just strengthened by this test of being apart until their souls are reunited.
