Howard Betz

Howard Betz, age 91, of Alliance, passed away at 6:50 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2015, at Bel-Air Care Center.
He was born October 11, 1924 in Kensington, Ohio to Emmett and Frieda Betz.
A retired truck driver, Howard enjoyed racing standard bred horses and working in his yard.
His survivors include his children, Tim (Sandra) Betz of Merritt Island, FL, Darla Richards of Alliance and Brett (Cathy) Betz of Aurora; 7 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rebecca (Porter) Betz whom he married on June 24, 1950 and who passed away in 2000; daughter, Diane Wiley; one grandchild; and brothers, Russ and Glen Betz.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor David Ashbrook officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
