Howard H. Dickerhoof, age 88, of Paris, Ohio, passed away at 8:45 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Community Care Center.
He was born January 25, 1930, in Canton, Ohio, to Ira James and Florence (Yutzey) Dickerhoof and has resided in the area since 1965.
A graduate of Timken High School, Howard then served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was then employed as a plumber, retiring from Doerschuk Plumbing after 42 years.
Howard was a member of The Chapel in Marlboro, Washington Ruritans Club and the Plumbers Local No. 94.
Survivors include his three sons, Mark (Rose) Dickerhoof of Clinton and twin sons, Brad (Anita) Dickerhoof of Marlboro, and Bruce (Shelley) Dickerhoof of Columbiana; daughter, Martha (Kelly) Palmer of Minerva; and eight grandchildren, Dana, Loni, Devin and Chad Dickerhoof, Hunter Palmer and Ean, Todd and Mark Dickerhoof.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Doerschuk) Dickerhoof, whom he married December 4, 1954 and who died September 10, 2006; and four sisters, Lois Yocum, Beulah Dickerhoof, Arlene Holderead and Esther Doerschuk.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at The Freeburg Church of the Brethren 4470 Beechwood Ave. NE Paris, Ohio, 44669. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Mike Zellers officiating. Interment will be at Freeburg Cemetery.
