Howard Ludt, age 71, of Homeworth, died at 10:37 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born November 22, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio to Ivan and Doris (O'Dell) Ludt and resided in Homeworth most of his life.
Mr. Ludt attended First Church of God and helped at church suppers.
He attended Madison High School and was a mechanic at Scotty's Lift Truck in Homeworth having retired in 2003 from Hyster Mideast in Canton (formerly Quimby's). He loved working at auctions part-time and loved to travel. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Mary (Cameron) Ludt of Homeworth, whom he married, April 28, 1957; 3 daughters Brenda (Greg) Ferguson of Homeworth, Darla (Rodney) Wells of Whipple and Diane Gates of Minerva; 8 grand children; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, William (Pat) Ludt and Albert (Beverly) Ludt both of Alliance; Dorothy Jacobs of Boardman and Pauline Wayne of Homeworth; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ludt was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Michael Ferguson and step-father, John Yates.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Murphy officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
