Howard Manypenny

Howard J. Manypenny, age 84, of North Benton, passed away at 9:07 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
He was born November 18, 1924 in North Benton, to John F. and Mable L. (Rose) Manypenny.
Mr. Manypenny was a graduate of Berlin High School in Berlin Center and was a farmer all of his life.
He was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 76 of Sebring and the VFW Post No. 2799 in New Springfield.
Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Lee (James) Criss of Salem; his son, Rev. Kenneth (Shari) Manypenny of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; Mary Ann (Fred) Caton, Robert (Kim) Crum Jr., Ronald (Jess) Criss, and Rebekah and Rachel Manypenny; four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Angelea, Nicolette, and Garrett; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Halczak of Diamond, Ohio; and 11 nieces and five nephews.
Mr. Manypenny was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Randy Manypenny; and brothers, Donald, Ralph, and Thomas.
Private services will be held at a later date with interment to be at Hartzell Cemetery in North Benton.
