Hubert C. Blades

Hubert Blades, age 75, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday December 1, 2020 at Aultman Hospital.

He was born July 28, 1945 in Easton, MD. Hubert married Sara Peebles on October 29, 1971 in St. Michaels, MD. Hubert was veteran of the US Army and served in the 101st Airborne during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a prison guard for fourteen years, retiring in 1999. Hubert also was a truck driver taking loads to all lower 48 states and Canada before retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Louisville VFW 7490.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sara (Peebles) Blades; five children, Bert (Gabrielle) Blades of Bozman, MD, Brion (Jennifer Greene) Blades of Norristown, PA, Bethany (Ret. SFC Jerald) Simmons of Alliance, Jessi Blades (Shannon) of Yellow Springs, OH and Michelle (Billy Mills) Goldsborough of Salibury, MD; grandchildren, Gabriella Blades, Brion Jr. and Sara Blades, Maelynn, Jerry, and Tomas Simmons, Bailey Blades and Austin, Robbie, Aly, Zander and Sophia Goldsborough; great-grandchildren, Ray J, Kevin, Gabe, McKenna and Saige Paisleigh; brother, Roy (Cheryl) E. Blades; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Elwood “Turtle” Blades, Tommy Blades and Eddie Blades.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
