Ila Marie Spore, age 95, of Alliance, passed away at 6:32 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born, August 14, 1914, in Carrollton, Ohio, to Roy and Margaret (Long) Harsh. Ila attended Carrollton Public Schools. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she belonged to the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Wilmington, NC.
Survivors include her sons, Glenn E. Spore of Alliance, and Harry L. Spore of Orlando, Florida; five grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Corneilus Edward Spore, who died in January 1977.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Edward J. Harnish, Minister of the Marlboro Christian Church officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
