Ile "Pap" DeHart, age 83 of Alliance, died at 5:35 p.m. April 19, 2006 at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1922 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to Charles and Mary (Holbrook) DeHart
Mr. DeHart retired in 1985 from Monarch Rubber after working as a lift truck operator. He was a member of the Independent Freewill Baptist Church and served with the U.S. Army during W.W.II.
He enjoyed walking, visiting, doing volunteer work for his neighbors and spending time with his great-grandchildren.
Surviving his wife, Emma F. (Reynolds) DeHart, daughters, Kathy Eddy of Atwater, Barbara Brunner of Maximo, Lois DeHart of Alliance, and one son, Stephen (Jean) DeHart of Marlboro; his twin sister, Maggie (Lee) Rogers, sister, Pearl Sammons, all of Olive Hill, Ky.; brother, Earl DeHart of Atwater, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, seven half-sisters and eight half-brothers.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Elders Burl Middleton and Jim Owens officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
