Imogene Cracknell

Imogene "Jeanne" (Tschabold) Cracknell, age 74, of Alliance, passed away at 9:12 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Alliance Community Hospital with her family at her bedside. She's now reunited with her beloved husband, Bill.
She was born May 12, 1935, in Alliance, Ohio to Gottfried and Clyta (Blair) Tschabold.
Mrs. Cracknell was a graduate of Minerva High School and was employed as a teller at the former Mount Union Bank, an Air Hostess for Trans World Airlines and was self employed as a desk top publisher until her retiring in 2001. She was a former member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Mt. Vernon, Virginia and former member of the Alliance Women's Club.
Jeanne loved working in her garden, reading, painting, quilting, knitting, traveling, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also deeply loved her daughter, Beth, who was her favorite.
Survivors include her two sons, William H. Cracknell III of Nashville, Tennessee and Stephen D. (Peggy) Cracknell of Woodbridge Virginia; two daughters Tacie J. (John) Fritz of Peachtree City, Georgia and Elizabeth A. (Pat) Hagan of East Glacier, Montana; seven grandchildren, Emma, Kristina, Stephen Jr., Kathleen, Molly, Owen and Leo; two sisters, Marilyn McCully of Minerva and Eileen (Bob) Harrison of Louisville; uncle, Paul Blair of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. William H. Cracknell, Jr. (United States Navy, Retired) whom she married July 5, 1958 and who died October 28, 2005; brother, James Tschabold; and two infant sisters, Sandra Kay and Bonnie Lou.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St., Memphis, Tennessee, 38105 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnett Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio, 45229.
