Irene Wright Barker age 67 of Roselawn Terrace, Alliance died Sunday afternoon at Alliance Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Irene was born October 27, 1935 in Sistersville, West Virginia, the daughter of James and Bertha (Placer) Wright, but lived most of her life in Alliance. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1954, and on May 7, 1955 married Gerald Eursal Barker who preceded her in death, April 17, 1996.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant twin sister Eileen, brothers Herman and Fred Hoover, and sister Mabel Lazear of Sebring.
Mrs. Barker, a member of First Christian Church of Alliance, and a friend of Maranatha Church of God, was a lifelong homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lori Jean and Michael Feller, granddaughters Sara Marie and Lindsey Ann Feller, all of Alliance, and one sister Evelyn Palmenter of Florida, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 15, 2003 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
