Irene (Baron) Shattuck age 74 of Alliance, died at Canterbury Villa at 2:31 p.m. April 24, 2004.
She was born July 31, 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio to Stephen and Mary (Wallace) Baron, and lived most of her life in Youngstown.
Mrs. Shattuck graduated from Bowling Green University with a Bachelors Degree in Education, and was the owner of the former S. Baron Food Market in Youngstown.
She was a former member of Gibson Heights Presbyterian Church in Youngstown.
Survivors include one son, David (Jackie) Shattuck of Alliance, two sisters, Anna Pastor of Alliance, and Elizabeth Baron of Austintown, and three grandchildren; Christine, Amy and D.J.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant daughter Mary Ann, one brother William, four sisters; Katie, Jenny, Helen and Mary Rapovy, and her former husband, Arthur Shattuck.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Libb of Berlin Center United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
