Iris Mae Heddleston

Iris Mae Heddleston, 92, of Alliance, passed away at 1:20 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born January 20, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Maurice Segel and Nellie Mae (Greenlees) Segel-Rumberger.
Mrs. Heddleston was a 1944 graduate of East Liverpool High School, member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Alliance and worked in the sales and credit services department at Sears. She loved to sew and read.
Survivors include her sister, Leila (Dan) Price of Riverside, California; her children, Susan L. (Richard) Diser of Alliance, George W. (Lora) Heddleston Jr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Rev. Jon C. (April) Heddleston of Sperryville, Va., Sally L. (Ron) Dennis of Columbus, and Patrick D. (Lori) Heddleston of Alliance; grandchildren, Jennifer (Seth) Sutton, Sarah, George III, Maecie, and Lydia Heddleston, Jonathan (Sarah), Chad (Elizabeth), Bret Heddleston, Joy (Christopher) Ashbaugh, Amanda Morrison and Kristen (Keith) Blevins and Cory and Abby Heddleston; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Jada, and Jocelyn Sutton, Emilee Edwards, Kaley and Karsen Blevins and Norah, Maeve and Ingrid Heddleston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George W. Heddleston, Sr., whom she married January 14, 1945 and who died February 20, 2009; and an infant brother, James Segel.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral home with Rev. Dr. JoAnn Patterson officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
