Irving McDaniel

Irving William McDaniel, age 70, who was loved by all, passed away at his home at 9:54 a.m. March 11, 2004.
He was born June 21, 1933 in Damascus, Ohio to Joseph Earl and Vera (Hoopes) McDaniel, and lived most of his life in Sebring and Minerva.
Mr. McDaniel attended Willow Vale and Goshen Schools, and worked as a truck driver for the Minerva Mill, D.L. Phillips, and Alliance Redi Mix Co., until retiring in 2003.
He was a member of the Alliance First Baptist Church, former deacon, served as a missionary in the Dominican Republic, and was a member of the Saturday morning prayer group.
Mr. McDaniel was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Germany during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene E. (Springer) whom he married July 11, 1981, one daughter, Vicki Daniels of Canton, one son, Terry McDaniel of Sugarcreek, four step-daughters, Veronica (Roger) Krug of Clinton, Oh., Andrea Thomas, Ethel (Dana) Rummel of Alliance, Rachel (Mike) Ward of Rootstown, three step-sons; Gary B. Clark of Houston, Tx., Len (Jean) Rigney of Alliance, and Rex R. Rigney of Sebring, ten step-grandchildren; Jake, Leigh, Eric, Tony, Jamie, Alan, Marcus, Justin, Travis and Cody, one great-granddaughter, Alexis, one brother; Carl (Judy) McDaniel of East Rochester, three sisters; Joan (Harold) Newcomer of Minerva, Martha (Raymond) Zwick of East Rochester, and Ann (Dave) Smith of N. Jackson; and one step-sister; Becky (Chris) Saling of Salem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant brother Joseph, one step-sister, Kim Dotson, one son-in-law William Daniels, and one step-granddaughter Candy Fluharty.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with Pastor Gordon Thomas officiating. Friends may call at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and ? hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
