Isabelle K. Sotcan
Isabelle K. Sotcan, age 91, of Alliance, died at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the Hospice of the Valley Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.
Mrs. Sotcan was born Feb. 25, 1915 in Hopedale, Ohio to George and Mary (Simpson) Kaufmann and lived in Alliance since 1936.
A 1934 graduate of Dover High School, she retired in 1972 from Universal Co-Operatives after working as a Secretary in the farm mechanical department.
She was a member of the U.R. Transylvania Society, and its financial secretary, and member of the AARP and Police and Firemen's Retirees.
Mrs. Sotcan is survived by two sons, G. Michael Sotcan of Sacramento Ca., and Stephen E. Sotcan of Alexandria Va.; one daughter, Vica E. Sotcan of Alliance; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George E. Sotcan, whom she married March 19, 1944, and who died April 16, 1992; one infant son, Robert Lynn, and one brother, George W. Kaufman Jr.
There will be no services. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
