John Scott Benincasa, age 64, of Alliance, passed away at 5:45 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015, at McCrea Manor.
He was born December 18, 1950, in Alliance, Ohio, to John and Jacqueline (Anderson) Benincasa.
Scott graduated from Bowling Green University with a Bachelor of Marketing in 1975.
He was previously employed as a sales manager at Epic Technologies in Norwalk, Ohio. He enjoyed playing golf in his spare time as well as attending Mount Union Football games. He was an active volunteer with the Alliance Triathlon, Board of Elections and with various golf club fundraisers.
Survivors include his brother, Timothy C. Benincasa of Rocky River, OH; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. Tim would like to extend a special thank you to Chris Walborn for her kind loving care.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Douglas Benincasa.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Coralee Cox of Union Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
