Jack A. Burress, age 67, of Alliance, passed away at 2:44 a.m., July 4, 2018, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born September 25, 1950, in Bluefield, Virginia, to Jack and Lillian Lucille (Page) Burress.
Jack was a graduate of East Canton High School and retired from Hendrickson Trailer in 2004, in Lebanon, Indiana, as a Robotic Welder Programmer.
Jack was a veteran of the United States Navy and was an American Legion and VFW member.
He loved to visit his family cabin in Westline, Pennsylvania and go trout fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Shelley (Simpson) Burress whom he married July 13, 1982; children, Jeff (Corine) Uplinger, Sherry Uplinger, Bryan (Kelli) Burress, Adriane (Kenny) Mandakunis; Lori Mohr (Will Green); grandchildren, Robert, Gabby, Haley, Lauren, Nico, Brandon, Jennifer, Alyssa, Austin, Clayton, Amy, AJ, Stacy and Amanda; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Walt Coates; and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Earl and Elsie Simpson; brother-in-law, Gary Simpson; and son-in-law, Bob Oliver.
Per Jack's wishes he requested no services to be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for their discretion.
