Jack R. Ward

Jack R. Ward, age 87, of Alliance, passed away at 10:10 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born July 7, 1928, in Alliance, Ohio, the son of Edward and Hazel (Holmes) Ward and resided in Alliance all his life.
An Alliance High School graduate, Jack had been employed at the former Alliance Manufacturing until his retirement. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Jack was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline (Ruflin) Ward of Alliance, whom he married September 13, 1958; daughter, Kelly A. Ward; son-in-law, Dennis J. Wolfrum; and grandchildren, McKennah Wolfrum and Raymond Wolfrum, all of Defiance, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry and Edward Ward; and sister, Marilyn Alcorn.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. James McCurdy officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
