Jack K. "Kojak" "Moorie" Moore

Jack K. “Kojak” “Moorie” Moore, age 69, of North Canton, formerly of Alliance, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, at Mercy Medical Center.

He was born July 16, 1949, in Alliance, Ohio, to Paul E. and Irene A. (Eakins) Moore.

Jack was a 1967 graduate of Alliance High School and retired from American Steel after working 30 years as a chipper.

He was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam Era.

Jack loved working outside, especially mowing; he loved listening to music, and meeting new people. Jack made friends everywhere he went. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Garnet V. (Shaver) Moore, whom he married September 3, 1976; sons, Eric (Kimberly) Eye and Kevin Moore; grandchildren, Lily, Ty, Caitlyn, Alexis, and Alora; sisters, Kay (Dave) Harden, and Bonnie Staggers; brother, Wilbur Moore; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul G. Moore;  siblings, David Moore, Rae Burrier, Scott Moore, Joe Moore, Eva Spall, and Paula Moore.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Willie Bell officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday July 16th. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, or to the donor’s choice of charity.
