Jacqueline L. Adams

Jacqueline L. Adams, age 93, of Alliance, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Altercare of Alliance.

She was born March 26, 1929 in Alliance, Ohio to Walter and Gertrude (Oerter) Luginbuhl.

A 1947 graduate of Alliance High School, Jacquie had been employed in accounting at ARMAC and American Steel Foundries. During high school, she worked at England’s Drug Store.

She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. Jacquie was active with the Alliance High School Alumni Association and planning class reunions; she also enjoyed helping with her daughters’ Girl Scout Troops;

She liked to read, play cards, garden and she loved to mow grass while her late husband Stanley went golfing.

She will be loved and missed by her family, including her  children, Susan (Lanny) Snode of Alliance; Calvin Adams of Ray, Michigan, Kathy Adams of Alliance and Carrie (Dean) Smith of Peninsula; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and special niece, Diane (Hirabayashi) Carter.

In addition to her parents, Jacquie  was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley L. Adams, whom she married November 15, 1947, and who died December 29, 2019; two  sisters, Edith Paschall and Doris Hirabayashi; and one brother, Arthur Luginbuhl.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
