Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Meiring, age 65 of Alliance, died at her home at 8:31 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2005.
She was born October 19, 1939 in Hamilton, Ontario Canada to John and Ethel (Dawson) Gilliam and lived most of her life in Alliance.
She graduated from Alliance High School, and enjoyed gardening, bowling and embroidery.
Survivors include three sons, Steven (Nancy) Kelly of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Dallas Lee (Angela) Kelly of Carrollton, and Shawn (Colleen) Kelly of Minerva; nine grandchildren, Shawn, Brandon, Kristy, Savanna, Sophie, Ashley, Nathan, Jacob and Shanna, four great-grandchildren, Joshua and Haley Stahler, and Acacia and Alija Kelly; one sister, Pat (Larry) Middleton of Alliance, nieces and nephews, and her loving dog, Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gilbert W. Meiring, whom she married July 10, 1972 and who died Feb. 19, 2002.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
