James H. "Jim" Blymiller, age 71, of Alliance, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at his home.
He was born December 7, 1937 in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania to Hugo O. and Bette C. (Costen) Blymiller and was a lifelong resident.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Jim was employed by the Alliance Police Department from 1961-1964 and was a millwright at Alliance Tubular Products retiring after 32 years of service.
Jim was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Bolton United Methodist Church and was also an associate member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ.
He was an avid pilot and a member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association and also enjoyed collecting antique cars.
Survivors include his father, Hugo O. Blymiller of Alliance; his beloved companion, Marjorie Delpuppo of Alliance; sons, Michael (Gina) Blymiller of Homeworth, and Steven (Vickie) Blymiller of Elkton, Ohio; daughter, Patricia Blymiller of Homeworth; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 2007; his two wives, Carolyn Ann (Marshall) Blymiller and Mary Louise (McKenna) Blymiller.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 at First Immanuel United Church of Christ, 208 E. Oxford St. Alliance, Ohio, 44601 with Pastor Neal Mann officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alliance Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, 885 S. Sawburg Ave. Suite 106, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
