James R. Caldwell, age 59, of Ravenna, passed away at 12:52 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2013, at Salem Community Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1954, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to Mervin and Eleanor (McCormick) Caldwell.
A graduate of West Branch High School, James was an auto body technician for Stadium GM in Salem. He was of the Wesleyen methodist faith.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and mowing the lawn. He was a car enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly K. (Creamer) Caldwell of Ravenna, whom he married August 9, 1975; two sons, James R. (Robin) Caldwell of Ravenna and Richard G. (Heidi) Caldwell of Kent; three granddaughters; seven grandsons; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles (Emma) Caldwell of Columbia, SC, Richard (Eleni) Caldwell of Youngstown and William Caldwell of Lancaster; sisters, Christine (Gene) Rouse of Barberton and Ariel (Marvin) Caldwell of Salem; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Brandon Caldwell.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Hawley Cemetery in Ravenna.
