James R. Dimit of Maitland, Florida, died June 25th in Orlando, Florida.
He was born in Alliance, June 13, 1923, the son of Arthur M. and Fern Weaver Dimit. He graduated from Alliance High School in 1942, and attended Mount Union College. Mr. Dimit was a U.S.Air Force WWII Veteran with service in Iran. He worked with Sears Roebuck stores in Alliance, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida, was President of Giant Warehousing, Inc. in Orlando retiring in 1989
James was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Casselberry Fla., and Past President of Lions Club in Maitland Fla..
He is survived by his wife, Grace (Haines) Dimit; sons Larry of Orlando and Ray (Diane) of Birmingham, Ala., daughter Kathleen (Glen) Godwin of Birmingham, Ala., sister Carolyn (Wilbur) Couchie of Alliance, brother Fred (Sheila) Dimit of Marion, Va. and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services are being held June 28 in Orlando, Fla.
