James R. Grossman, age 80, of Alliance died at 11:50 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born April 4, 1931, in Alliance, Ohio, to Raymond and Myrtle (Fligle) Grossman.
A graduate of Minerva High School, Jim worked as a farmer and retired after driving school bus for 30 years with Marlington Local Schools.
Jim was a U. S. Navy veteran, and member of Salem United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a cousin, Mildred Grossman, of Waverly, Ohio.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a brother Robert.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2011, at the chapel at Highland Memorial Park, with interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 14113 Salem Church Rd. NE, Alliance, OH 44601.
