James Lee Layne (Mr. Munchy), age 58, of Alliance, passed away at 6:26 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born October 12, 1956, in Alliance to James Layne and Olice (Derr) Hill.
Jim attended the Alliance Christian Center and was also a member of the Dante Club. Through the years, Jim was a self-employed owner of various businesses as well as a skilled builder and woodworker.
Survivors include his mother; sons, James Lee Layne II and Kyle Layne, both of Alliance; siblings, Jeanette Blank of Hinckley, OH, Terry Hill of Las Vegas, NV and Ruth Ann Lewis of Alliance; and companion, Gail Roper. Jim will be missed and loved by many friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-father, Don Hill.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Dykshoorn officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave., Alliance OH 44601.
