James "JT" Louis

James "JT" Louis, age 84, of Alliance, passed away at 1:33 a.m., Monday, May 28, 2018, at Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 13, 1933, in Gilbertown, Alabama, to Charles and Lela (Kirksey) Louis.
An inspector at Chrysler for many years, JT retired in 1993 after more than 30 years.
JT was an avid sports lover. He enjoyed watching golf, football, and especially basketball. He absolutely loved watching his man Lebron James which he eloquently called "Leebron". He loved to shoot pool and was a very good bowler. As a child he placed second in the National Spelling Bee. He was affectionately known as "Bulldog" by many of his friends. He was a great provider for his family and helped to rear two of his grandsons.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 57 years, Lois "Toni" (Hayes) Louis, whom he married September 16, 1961; children, Pamela (Glen) Hughes, Eric Tucker, Kevin (Kimberly) Louis, Tubbeè (Iris) Louis, Stephenie (Timothy) Prather and Colin (Sharifa) Louis; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special aunt, Laura Coleman.
JT was preceded in death by his parents; stepdad, E.W. Dunagan; great-grandson, Jaylen Louis; grandmother, Lula Teague; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
Friends are welcome to visit with Toni and family at the family home.
