James Schell

January 24, 1944 — May 29, 2011

James R. Schell, age 67 of Alliance, left us here on earth on a beautiful Sunday morning, May 29, 2011 to run on the streets of gold.
He was born January 24, 1944 in Canton, Ohio to Howard and Arlene (Bourquin) Schell and was a lifelong resident.
Jim graduated from Glenwood High School and attended Walsh College. He had been employed as a Compounder for Malco Products in Alliance for 30 years, retiring on his birthday, Jan. 24, 2011.
An active member of the Beech Mennonite Church in Louisville, Jim was an avid runner his whole life, he lived life to the fullest and had a wonderful sense of humor. Jim also enjoyed planting and working in his garden.
He will be deeply missed by his family, including wife, Marilyn (Conrad) Schell, whom he married August 7, 1971; daughters, Laura (Tim) Wilson of Canal Fulton, Christine Schell of North Canton, and Shannon (Juan) Aguero of Paraguay, South America; sons, James Schell of Portage Lakes, and Brian (Amy) Schell of Salem; granddaughters, Chelsea Gustafson, Alicia Schell, Brooke Wilson, Alexandra Aguero, Alma Aguero, and Kiersten Schell; grandsons, Mike Aguero and Luke Schell; sisters, Rosemary Moegling of Concord, Mary Ann (Ron) Specht of Avon Lake, and Rita Oberster of East Canton; and brother, Leonard (Diane) Schell of North Canton.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard, and brothers-in-law, Frank Moegling and August Oberster.
The Schell family would like to thank their church family, neighbors, friends, co-workers, the 8th floor staff at Mercy Medical Center, and hospice for all their loving care and support.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. June 12th at the Beech Mennonite Church, 10037 Easton St. N.E., Louisville, Ohio with Pastor Dan King officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Paraguay School Project, in care of Beech Mennonite Church, or the cancer research of your choice.
