James Schott

James “Gump” Schott, age 51, of Canton, and formerly of Alliance passed away Sunday November 7, 2021.

He was born September 13, 1970 in Alliance Ohio and was a graduate of Marlington High School.

Jim worked as a mechanic; and loved to ride his Harley, race cars, and ride four-wheelers.

The “Life of the Party”, Gump always enjoyed being with his family and friends.

He will be forever loved and missed by his family, including his mom, Sue Schott, his daughter, Megan Schott, and her mother, Lori Miller, his sister, Shannon (Mike) White, his brother, Dustin (Andrea) Schott, his aunts, Elaine Lorden and Marta Sinkovitz, his nephews, Jordan (Aurora) White, and Cayden White, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle.

A time for visiting and sharing memories will be held on Friday November 12, 2021 from Noon to 3 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions may be made c/o the funeral home, to be used for the family’s discretion.
