James W. Schumaker, age 70, of Alliance, passed away at 6:42 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born November 5, 1943 in Fresno, Ohio to Chester and Haroldine (Stein) Schumaker.
James was a 1961 graduate of Marlington High School and retired from the Hoover Company after 34 years.
James was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and The Cheesemaker's Association. He was an avid sports fan and held various football records at Marlington High School.
Survivors include his wife; Patty, two daughters; Chris (Larry) McGill of Alliance and Karli (Nathan) Anderson of Denver; mother, Haroldine Schumaker of Alliance; two sisters; Carol Miller and Connie (Dave) Wilkinson both of Beloit; brother, John (Diane) Schumaker of Uniontown; and four grandchildren; Jacob Koren, Morgan McGill, Arielle Anderson, and Melody Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Celebration of Jim's life will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at The Chicken Manor in North Canton.
