James W. Brand II

It is with great sadness that on July 2, 2017, Jim Brand passed away suddenly at the age of 54.
James Winston Brand II was born May 10, 1963 in Rome, NY to the late James Winston Brand and Doris E. (Mast) of Findlay, OH.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Melissa (Howenstine), and children Jennifer (Ben) Stahl, James (Brittany), Robert, Jonathan, and also cherished granddaughter, Elaina Stahl. He is also survived by his big sister, Sharon Brown of
Deshler, OH. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Jim was passionate about gardening, loved being the family "grillmaster", and always cheered on his Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians. He found solace, peace, and a deep meaning of life through the music and stories told by the Grateful Dead. Their lyrics spoke to him in a way that moved his soul.
Friends and family may attend the calling hours on Monday July 10, from 4-7 p.m., at the Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 South Union Ave, Alliance, OH, 44601. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday July 11, at 11 a.m., at the First United Presbyterian Church, 425 E. Market St., Alliance, OH, 44601.
