James "Jim" K. Williams Sr., age 65 of Alliance, died at his home at 3:40 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2005.
He was born April 10, 1940 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Charles and Pauline (Hall) Williams, and had lived in Alliance since 1976 after moving from East Liverpool.
He was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in East Liverpool.
A 1958 graduate of East Liverpool High School, Mr. Williams was employed as a circulation director for the Steubenville Herald Star, the Kittanning Leader Times in Pennsylvania, and retiring from the Alliance Review. He enjoyed camping, boating and puzzles. Jim also liked to spend time fixing vehicles for friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia L. (Wines) Williams of Alliance, whom he married May 2, 1959, daughter, Sandra L. (David A.) Monte of Minerva, daughter Constance D. (John) Ferrise of Indiana, a son James K. (Krista) Williams Jr. of Michigan, and a daughter Deborah J. (Daniel) Gold of Kyle, Texas. Ten grandchildren; Tiffany Monte, Danny Monte, Megan Williams, Ashley Williams, Kali Williams, James F.D. Williams, Nathan Ferrise, Noah Ferrise, Adam Gold and Skylar Gold.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his Aunt Jean Williams and Grandmother Maude who raised him from the time he was an infant, 3 grandchildren; Nicholas James Ferrise, Joseph Daniel Gold, and Brent Patrick Gold.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. Interment will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park in East Liverpool.
