James G. Wolfe, age 84 of Alliance, died at 12:20 p.m. March 8, 2006 at Altercare of Alliance.
He was born Dec. 21, 1921 in Marlboro, Twp. To James and Mae (Eutzly) Wolfe and lived in Alliance since 1948.
He graduated from the former Marlboro High School in 1940 and worked in security with Morgan Engineering, before retiring from Babcock and Wilcox Tubular Div. in Security in 1984.
Mr. Wolfe was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses; and served with the U.S. Army in Co. F. 338 Engineers in the European African Middle Eastern Campaign and 2 bronze stars.
He is survived by one sister, Marjorie (Ross) McCallum of Louisville, and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delsia Grace (Warner) Wolfe, whom he married July 30, 1948, and who died Nov. 7, 2004; and two brothers, George and John.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Frank Porter officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
