James D. Cawrse, age 79, of Louisville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Saturday February 29, 2020 at Aultman Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 8, 1940 in New London, Ohio to Morris and Lydia (Smith) Cawrse and was raised on the family dairy farm.
Jim was a graduate of New London High School. After graduation he entered the United States Air Force where he served honorably as an airplane mechanic. Jim earned his private pilot license and loved taking his family on flying adventures.
He was employed in the dairy industry for 46 years as an AI technician and milk testing supervisor.
Jim was an active member of Cornerstone Christian Church and served as a Deacon.
He loved gardening and loved sharing the bounty with everyone.
Jim especially loved spending time with his loving family and attending all of their various activities.
Survivors include his wife, Caren (Heaviside) Cawrse, of 57 years; daughters, Audrey (Bob) Gairing of Wadsworth, Ellen (Scott) Miller of Doylestown and Margaret (Bob) Foss of Alliance; grandchildren, Sarah, AJ, Stephen, Alex, and Michael; brother, Art (Marilyn) Cawrse of Seattle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, George; and two sisters, Virginia and Pat.
Jim will be very missed by his family.
Interment will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2020 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, Ohio, 44273.
A memorial service will be held at Noon, Friday March 13, 2020 at Cornerstone Christian Church, 10162 Freshley Ave., Alliance, Ohio, 44601.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Christian Church or Cornerstone Chilean Mission.
