Jane E. Dorff age 98 of Alliance died November 9, 2003 at her home.
She was born December 20, 1904 in Lexington Township to Edward and Sarah I. (Richards) Hively.
Mrs. Dorff was a lifelong Alliance resident, and retired from Alliance Community Hospital in 1972 after working as a secretary. After retiring, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at the hospital.
She was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son Gerald A. (Dorothy) Severance of Alliance, one stepdaughter Marie (Fred) Bruey of Jackson, Mi., one sister Margaret (Joe) Felkey of New Brighton Pa., one brother William C. Hively of Florida, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Arthur J. Severance, who died in 1937, and John A. Dorff, who died in 1957, one daughter Eileen Koener, one stepdaughter Bonnie Huskins, two stepsons Charles Dorff and John Dorff Jr., six sisters, three brothers, one grandson and one granddaughter.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday November 12, 2003 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Ruggles of Union Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park.
