Jane E. Montler age 78 of Alliance died at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday January 7, 2004 at Community Care Center. She was born October 17, 1925 in Alliance to Charles E. and Ruth (Stephens) Greenfield.
Mrs. Montler graduated from Alliance High School in 1943 and retired in 1990 from North Lincoln School after working as a cook for 22 years, she also worked as a telephone operator for the former Ohio Bell for 8 years.
She was a member of First Christian Church and the Alliance Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy R. Montler, and Rosemary E. Montler, both of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James M. Greenfield, and two sisters, Margaret McCormick and Esther Bradway.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church with Rev. Craig Jones officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be made to First Christian Church Building Fund or First Christian Church Food Pantry, 114 E. Main St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
