Janet Douglass Davis, age 78 of Alliance, died at her home at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006.
She was born Aug. 14, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to Leland Sidney and Elizabeth Janet (MacCaa) Douglass and lived in Alliance for 55 years.
A graduate of David Anderson High School in Lisbon, Ohio and Kent State University, Mrs. Davis was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include her children, Deborah Davis (James) White of Alliance, Roberta L. Davis of Worthington, Ohio, and Robert W. (Kimberly) Davis Jr. of Pickerington, Ohio; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Julia, Melanie and William; and sisters, Gloria Oster and Roxalee Douglass.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert W. Davis Sr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Pam Bruno officiating. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
