Janet M. (Sutton) Lawther, age 80, of Alliance, passed away at 8:55 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2013 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born October 1, 1933 in Alliance, to Frank and Alta (Grimes) Sutton.
Janet was a lifetime member of Beechwood United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Joan Egan of Alliance; nieces and nephews, Sue King of Raleigh, NC, Larry (Julie) Johnson of Alliance, Faith (Al) Plisousky of Palmer, Alaska, Becky (Lynn) Kesterke of Alliance and Joe (Debbie) Johnson of Alliance.
Preceding Janet in death were her parents; husband, Bruce Lawther; sisters, Francis Johnson and Dorthy Johnson; and nephew, Danny Johnson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Beechwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Beechwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Beechwood United Methodist Church, 3450 Beechwood Ave., Alliance, OH, 44601.
