Janice Alene Baker

On Sunday, June 4, 2023, Janice “Pete” Alene Baker, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at age 88.

Janice was born on March 10, 1935 in Alliance, Ohio to Kenneth and Hazel (Queer) Reed. She was married to her loving husband, Glenn “Duane” Baker for 63 years. They raised two sons, Duane and Robin and one daughter, Kelley.

She had many friends and was very active in her Lake Gibson Village Community, in Lakeland, FL. She enjoyed dressing up for just about any occasion or event. Hats and jewelry were her special forte.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth; mother, Hazel; loving husband, “Duane”; and son, Duane.

She leaves behind her children, Kelley Baker and Robin Baker; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held in the Chapel at Alliance City Cemetery on June 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Penny Magee.

Please join us in celebrating her life at the Elks Lodge, 606 Glamorgan St., Alliance, Ohio, directly following the service.

At this time, I am sure that she is in Heaven with her husband Duane dancing the night away.

In lieu of flowers, please go out dancing a night, give extra hugs and kisses to those closest to you, and of course say “I love you”, every chance that you get.
