Jay Thompson, age 31, of Alliance passed away June 17, 2018, at Salem Regional Hospital.
He was born February 4, 1987, in Alliance, Ohio, to Kenneth J. and Marlene F. (Marshall) Ball.
A graduate of West Branch High School, Jay was employed as a truck driver and mechanic and loved working in his wood shop.
Jay lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed bonfires, his cars, and riding his motorcycle. He loved dogs and animals and especially loved spending time with his friends. He will be deeply missed by many people.
He is survived by his adoring mother, Marlene of Alliance; his father; sister, Tracey of Pennsylvania; beloved aunt, Terry (Gene) Thompson of Senecaville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be deeply missed by his sweetheart, Shae Marshall, as well as his many friends.
A Celebration of Jay's Life will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Tammy Butcher of Abiding Grace Fellowship Church officiating. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Caring For Carmen through any Key Bank.
