Jean E. Archer age 83, of Alliance, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born February 4, 1927 in Akron, Ohio to Charles and Essie (Dennison) Gumbert.
A graduate of Stow High School, she went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and was employed at Doctor's Hospital in Massillon. She retired in 1991 after 23 years of service.
Jean was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Uniontown and enjoyed reading and needlework.
Survivors include her children, Paul (Carol) Archer of Akron, Mary (Bill) Daniels of Alliance, and John (Donna) Archer of Pikesville, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Dennis Daniels, Leah Archer, and Matt Archer; and one great-granddaughter, Lillian Daniels.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert A. Archer, whom she married November 30, 1945 and who died March 4, 2007; and one infant daughter, Ruth Ann.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at Marlboro Chapel with Pastor Harold Bradley officiating. Interment will follow at the Marlboro Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Church of the Nazarene Memorial Fund, 2780 Canton Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
