Jean Crutchley, age 83, of Alliance, died at 4:39 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born July 23, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edwin and Mabel (Reese) Fahey.
Mrs. Crutchley graduated in 1942 from Alliance High School, and volunteered as a Pink Lady for 29 years at Alliance Community Hospital. She was a member of Elks Auxiliary and the American Legion.
A loving wife and mother her family includes her husband, John Crutchley, whom she married Aug. 7, 1948 and married for 59 years; daughter, Marge Vassas of Massillon, son, Robert (Nancy) Crutchley of Wadsworth, and three grandchildren, Matthew (Shar) Crutchley and Matthew and Jason Sinkovitz and two great grandsons, Chase Alan Crutchley and Brad Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm. Tuesday, January 15th at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Mr. Daniel Vaughn officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
