Jean G. Kerr

Jean Gregor Kerr, age 94, of Alliance, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2107 at Aultman Hospital.
She was born June 29, 1922 in Owatonna, MN to Julius W. and Mary (Langer) Gregor.
Jean was a graduate of Owatonna High School and Nurses Training in Faribault, Minnesota and served in the U.S. Army Nursing Corp in WWII.
She was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church and a Pink Lady at Alliance Community Hospital. Jean was also a member of the Alliance Women's Club, the Town and Country Gardners and the Elks Ladies Auxillary.
An avid bridge player, Jean also enjoyed playing golf and tennis, reading, gardening and closley followed University of Mount Union football and the Cleveland Indians.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharen Shaffer of N. Canton; grandchildren, Matthew (Lori) Miller and Julie (Criag) Kuehnert; and great grandchildren, Erik, Grady and Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Kerr; and brother, Lawrence Gregor.
A memorial service will be held at noon Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Private interment will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park.
