Jean A. Miller, age 79, of Atwater, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 at Roselawn Terrace.
She was born September 28, 1928 in Atwater, Ohio to Charles Leroy and Merle Drayer Wasson and was a lifelong Atwater resident.
Jean graduated from Atwater High School and was employed at the former First National Bank and later worked as a food service cook at Alliance Community Hospital.
She enjoyed gardening and crocheting, bingo and the Cleveland Indians. Jean especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was involved with the Waterloo Band Boosters and the local 4 H Club.
Jean is survived by two daughters, Jeri (Stephen) Scafidi and Cathy (Steven) Ossler, both of Alliance; four grandchildren, Nicole and Bryan Scafidi and Sarah and Rachel Ossler; two brothers, Donald (Bette) Wasson of FL and Paul (Ruth) Wasson of GA and one sister, Edythe Brooks of FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jamin Joseph Miller, whom she married November 26, 1947 and who died July 23, 1989.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Sue DeHoff officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery.
