Jean V. Pyle, age 86, of Alliance, died at 5:24 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Aultman Hospital.
She was born October 19, 1923 in Mahoning County, Ohio to Ottomer and Grace Myers.
She was a graduate of Alliance High School. She retired in 1982 from Robertson Electrical Supply where she was employed as a bookkeeper. Jean was a past Matron and Deputy Grand Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Carrollton Chapter 315, AARP, Alliance Senior Center and a member of the Washington Township Women's Club.
Survivors include her children, Robert E. (Pam) Pyle, Jr. of Columbus, Susan L. Pyle and Dawna J. Pyle of Alliance and Cynthia J. (Mark) Naylor of Hartville; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and close family friend, Elizabeth Hogan.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. Pyle, Sr. whom she married June 26, 1949 and who died January 6, 2002; and three brothers, Arthur, Russell and Ronald Myers.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday with an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 5:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 1645 W. 8th St. Erie, Pa. 16505 or to the Washington Township Fire Department.
