Jeanette Millard

Jeanette Brooks Millard age 82 of Alliance, died at her home at 7:05 a.m. March 29, 2004.
She was born September 28, 1921 in Rome, New York to Clarence and Grace (Williamson) Mabb.
Mrs. Millard graduated from Rome Free Academy in Rome, New York, and graduated from Salvation Army Training School in New York and served as an officer in the Salvation Army. Mrs. Brooks Millard was employed as a secretary at Alliance High School for 18 years.
She was a member of Alliance Evangelical Friends Church.
Survivors include, one daughter Charlene K. (David) Denny of Salem, one son L. Scott (Susan) Brooks of Lakeland, Fla., two granddaughters, Marcie (Mark) Curry of Beloit, and Julie (Brett) Rogers of Lakeland, Fla., two grandsons, Philip Denny of Salem, Ohio and his fianc?' Laura Sawyer of Chagrin Falls, and Scott (Joy) Brooks, of Lakeland, Fla., one great-grandson, Logan Rogers, two step-daughters, Dorothy (Curt) Binkley of Alliance, and Betty (Lynn) Baker of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and one step-son Dale (Dorothy) Betz of Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Lawrence S. Brooks, whom she married Nov. 3, 1945, and who died March 3, 1989, and her second husband, Wade O. Millard, whom she married Oct. 26, 1990, and who died Sept. 25, 1993, and brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Alliance Evangelical Friends Church with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
