Jeanne Garth

Jeanne H. Garth, age 96, passed away peacefully at Crandall Medical Center on October 11, 2020.

She was born on May 21, 1924 to Alva Cox and Helen Roe in Chicago, Illinois.  Jeanne graduated from Lorain High School and Baldwin Wallace College. She was a licensed dietician and a 50 year member of the American Dietetic Association.

Jeanne was a member of Union Ave United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Richard Garth and Barbara (Dennis) Deibel; two granddaughters; two step grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and her sister, Kate Fritzsche.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lynn D. Garth, whom she married November 10, 1950; son, Schuyler “Skip” Garth; and her siblings, Alva Cox, Janet Marous, & James Cox.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to either the LifeCare Fund at Copeland Oaks or Union Avenue United Methodist Church.
