Jeffrey A. McIlvain

Jeffrey A. McIlvain, age 55, passed away on December 27, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born March 14, 1968 to Robert and Maxine (Croley) McIlvain of Alliance.

He graduated from Marlington High School in 1986 and immediately became an electrician, working for Ruhl Electric and eventually becoming a journeyman electrician in the IBEW Local 540.

Jeff was truly a jack of all trades, able to find a way to make any project happen. He especially loved helping his daughters with projects at their homes and work. He often spent time thrifting and finding antiques and hoped to have a shop of his own someday, a dream he got to experience helping his daughters prepare for the opening of their own thrift store.

He loved music, taking his family to concerts over the years, and was always dancing and singing. He coached several of his daughter’s softball and basketball teams, and loved spending the summers with them at the ballfield.

He will be remembered for his determination and positivity, traits that he exemplified until the very end.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Bob and Maxine McIlvain; his daughters, Niki McIlvain and Kady McIlvain; brothers, Bob McIlvain and Dan McIlvain; former wife and mother of his children, Angel McIlvain; and several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Jeffrey is preceded in death by his partner, Sandra Hall.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday Turkle Christian Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3rd at 6pm, with visitation two hours prior, 4pm-6pm.
