Jeffrey Scott Ramser

Jeffrey Scott Ramser, age 53, of Canton, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on September 11, 2022.

He was born on December 21, 1968 to James and Jerika (Naylor) Ramser.

Jeffrey graduated from Alliance High School, Class of 1987. He proudly served for 25 years as a police officer with the city of Canton, where he was a member of their honor guard, until his retirement in 2021. Jeffrey was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police McKinley Lodge 2. He loved animals, especially his 3 great-Pyrenees and his 3 cats.  Jeffrey loved being around water and attending NASCAR races. He was also an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Jill Ramser; his father; his sons, Brent (Floyd) Ramser and Grant (Randal) Ramser; his siblings, Tiffany (Thad) Stanley and Michael (Lisa) Neill; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother; brothers, Tim Ramser and James Ramser Jr.; and grandmother, Beverly Naylor.

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, September 15th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

An FOP service will be held fifteen minutes prior to the visitation.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m. with Sue Dehoff officiating.
